Your First Lead
Learn how to add and manage leads in VerdictFlow with this hands-on guide.
Now that your account is set up, let's add your first lead to see how VerdictFlow works.
Adding a Lead Manually
Step 1: Navigate to Leads
Click Leads in the left sidebar to open the Leads page.
Step 2: Click Add Lead
Click the + Add Lead button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Enter Contact Information
Fill in the lead's details:
Required fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email or Phone (at least one)
Optional but recommended:
- Phone number
- Address (city, state)
- Lead source (where they came from)
Step 4: Add Case Information
- Case Type - Select the type of case (Personal Injury, Workers' Comp, etc.)
- Case Description - Brief notes about the case
- Incident Date - When the incident occurred (if applicable)
Step 5: Save the Lead
Click Create Lead to save. Your new lead will appear in the leads table.
Understanding the Lead Card
After creating a lead, click on it to open the lead detail page. Here's what you'll see:
Overview Tab
- Contact information
- Case details
- Lead status and stage
- Quick action buttons
Activity Tab
- Timeline of all actions taken on this lead
- Status changes
- Emails sent
- Notes added
Documents Tab
- Upload and manage files
- Attach intake forms, medical records, etc.
Communications Tab
- View email history
- Send new emails directly from VerdictFlow
Lead Statuses
Every lead has a status that reflects where they are in your process:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| New | Just received, not yet reviewed |
| In Review | Being evaluated by your team |
| Qualified | Good fit for your firm or a referral |
| Ready for Referral | Qualified and ready to send to a partner |
| Referred | Has been sent to a partner firm |
| Retained | Your firm has accepted this case |
| Closed | No longer active |
Changing Lead Status
- Open the lead detail page
- Click the status dropdown at the top
- Select the new status
- The change is saved automatically
Quick Tips
- Add notes as you work on leads - they're visible to your whole team
- Use tags to organize leads by campaign or source
- Set reminders to follow up on important leads
Other Ways to Add Leads
Besides manual entry, leads can come into VerdictFlow through:
- Web forms - Embed intake forms on your website
- HubSpot sync - Automatically import contacts from HubSpot
- CSV import - Bulk upload leads from a spreadsheet
